Friends of Scotsdale Farm is a federally incorporated non-soliciting Not-for-profit
founded in 2014, located on the Niagara Escarpment,Halton Hills, Ontario, Canada.
Our Mandate is a simple one......to " Help Protect and Steward Scotsdale Farm"
with the support of Ontario Heritage Trust, and the Bruce Trail Conservancy.
We are very proud of what we do, and what has been accomplished thus far.
We will use this page to keep the public up to date with what is going on at Scotsdale Farm,
along with providing everyone with important information.
Over the years, the farm has been a popular spot for film shoots,
which have included:
The Recruit, Fahrenheit 451, Taken,
Reign and more recently,
Mrs. America, A Handmaid's Tale,
Forgive Us Our Trespasses,
Beacon Street, The Accused,
Rabbit Hole, Dutch & Knuckles,
and other smaller productions.
This added film revenue helps Ontario Heritage Trust maintain the property.
Filming has now wrapped up for a number of productions. A Dutch & Knuckles shoot, along with a milk commercial, and Sheriff Country were part of the action!
Please follow us on FB for regular film, and farm updates.
Spring time is here bringing April showers for May flowers!
Stay alert on the trails as there are some muddy spots!

Scotsdale Farm is a beautiful, calming place to visit, so making it accessible to the public is very important to us!
Open public areas continue to be an important part of our daily / weekly mantra ........a wonderful way to de-stress ourselves, and our families.
The hiking trails managed by the Bruce Trail Conservancy are all in great shape.
The CVC and BTC also have a
"pets on leash" policy to be observed.
Recently we have had a couple of
owners lose their pets.
Coyotes, coywolves and foxes are all active residents here too!

Things have been busy around the farm as various projects continue on a fairly ongoing basis. The barns have now been completely rewired, along with some updated plumbing.
The chimneys, and stone work at the Bennett House, cottage and garage have also been restored and repointed......good for another 100 plus years!
This year visitors will have also noticed many of our larger trees are being pruned, with some major dead limb removal being done. Please avoid these areas when the arborists are on site.

Groups using buses, and oversize vehicles must register themselves and their vehicles by using the contact form.
